Our on-site, digital X-ray equipment provides us with fast and high quality radiographs to aid in the diagnosis of many disorders. All our our X-rays are reviewed by a Board-certified Veterinary Radiologist at no additional charge to our clients.
Meet our Veterinary Radiologist, Dr. Scott Tidwell:
Dr. Scott Tidwell is a board certified veterinary radiologist. He completed his undergraduate education at the University of Florida and is a graduate of the University of Florida?s College of Veterinary Medicine. After an internship in large animal medicine and surgery at Washington State University he practiced equine medicine near Atlanta, GA. He also spent 3 years as a small animal general practitioner in Orlando, FL before embarking on a residency in veterinary diagnostic imaging. His residency was completed at Central Florida Veterinary Radiology in 2006 where Dr. Tidwell was fortunate to have trained under some of the very finest veterinary radiologists in the world today. As a staff radiologist at Affiliated Veterinary Specialists, Scott worked with many outstanding internists, neurologists and surgeons gaining experience in diagnosing and treating challenging cases.
Veterinary Diagnostic Imaging and Teleradiology was started in 2007 to provide remote veterinary radiology consultations for all modalities of diagnostic imaging to both general practitioners and specialists. Dr. Tidwell moved his family and VDIT to Mooresville, NC in the summer of 2010 to be able to provide complete mobile veterinary ultrasound services to the Charlotte, NC area.
In addition to providing teleradiology and ultrasound consultations he has also instructed ultrasound education courses and taught at the North American Veterinary Conference and the Florida Veterinary Medical Conference as well as for Aloka and Universal Ultrasound.
Scott and his wife Angela and have 3 children and two dogs. They are originally from the Northeastern area of the United States. In their free time they enjoy spending time outdoors. They also enjoy traveling for family vacations.
